AMITY Coworking is a shared workspace that combines elevated design and hospitality-centered amenities to create a unique co-working experience. It offers a setting that fosters individual creativity and group collaboration and was established to anticipate member needs and provide a distraction-free work environment.
Located in a rehabilitated Model T manufacturing plant designed by Albert Kahn in 1936, AMITY utilizes many features of the building’s original shell, including divided-light window walls, exposed joists, and concrete floors. These historical elements were drivers in the workplace design strategy that relies on natural light and a variety of flexible spaces to promote focus, collaboration, and well-being.
AMITY’s program is situated around a central core consisting of small meeting rooms, phone booths, and a collaboration zone, while the surrounding spaces include work, lounge, and amenity spaces with different levels of formality. Technology such as monitors, televisions, and smart projectors are available throughout the space for team collaboration and presentations. The spaces are designed to adapt with workers and enable flexibility throughout the day and week.
